1. What exactly are honeycomb aluminum panels?

An aluminum honeycomb panel is made up of an aluminum honeycomb core sandwiched between double layers of aluminum sheets. A special thermoplastic adhesive bonds these components together to form a solid composite panel.


Because of its high thermal performance and tensile strength, aluminum is an excellent material for custom aluminum honeycomb panels. Furthermore, its aesthetics are unrivaled by other lightweight metals. Aluminum becomes exceptionally long-lasting and durable for the most demanding applications with honeycomb core technology while remaining cost-effective.


2. A versatile construction material

A honeycomb aluminum panel, in addition to its high strength and low weight, can be customized in any size and with specific adhesives to suit any application. 3. Materials that are long-lasting and strong

The manufacturing process can influence the strength and appearance of aluminum honeycomb panels. At Julong, we use epoxy thermoplastic films to join all layers of aluminum sheets and the honeycomb core. These components are hot-pressed at temperatures ranging from -40 to 80 degrees Celsius to form a secure and complete composite panel that is weather-resistant and elastic and can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to 80 degrees Celsius. Given these advantages, we guarantee strong and long-lasting materials that will keep your structure standing and looking good for many decades.


It's all about the bonding. When creating a honeycomb aluminum panel, one of the most important factors to consider is the adhesive.

To laminate the layers, Julong employs specially formulated thermoplastic adhesive films. At room temperature, the material is solid, but it melts at 130 degrees Celsius.


Because of its high elasticity, thermoplastic film is more weather-resistant than regular epoxy. As a result, it moves with the substrate without fail, even when subjected to rapid temperature changes. Furthermore, it can withstand extreme heat during the summer.

4. For unique applications

Julong manufactures aluminum honeycomb panels with a patented epoxy-friendly coating for applications that require increased bonding strength. We coat aluminum sheets with a patented epoxy-friendly layer, which improves bonding and tensile strength by more than 50%. As a result, our products become more adaptable to both interior and exterior applications.


5. Choose your panels

Our honeycomb aluminum panels are available in widths up to 2000mm and lengths up to 6000mm, with thicknesses ranging from 5 mm to 500 mm. Furthermore, for specific applications, we provide the following finishes:

5.1 PVDF coating

PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is an appropriate paint for exterior aluminum sheets. This option is recommended for structures that are subjected to extreme weather and temperatures. As a result, it is excellent for exterior cladding, marine panels, mold panels, and roof panels.

5.2 Polyethylene Coating

We recommend polyethylene (pe) paint to coat each honeycomb aluminum panel for indoor decorations. This finish is also suitable for aluminum furniture, partitions, and ceilings.

5.3 Anodizing or epoxy coating

Honeycomb sheet panels are protected from oxidation by anodizing aluminum. This is done on the invisible side of the veneer or stone panel by Julong. We also offer epoxy-coated aluminum to prevent corrosion while improving glue-bonding performance. As a result, the honeycomb core's pull strength increases to 2.0mpa, making the material suitable for use as a backing for laminates containing natural stone, veneer, porcelain, solar components, or wood.

5.4 Mill finish

Other materials, such as natural or engineered stone, can be laminated with aluminum honeycomb panels. You can use a mill finish to improve their aesthetics without sacrificing weather and temperature resistance.

5.5 Printing with heat transfer

Julong creates patterns on the panel with heat transfer printing technology, such as stone veins and wood grain. This allows us to customize the panels for interior or exterior use while avoiding the use of natural materials.

5.6 Galvanized and stainless steel

Steel is ideal for exterior and interior applications that require maximum fire performance while maintaining aesthetics. This requirement can be met by replacing the bottom and aluminum sheets with galvanized or stainless steel. Furthermore, we can finish the panels in a variety of ways, including mirror, sanding, hairline, or etched, and in a variety of colors.
