1. What exactly are Honeycomb Panels?

Honeycomb panels are strong and lightweight construction materials that are commonly used in the exterior cladding market. 3.1 Honeycomb Aluminum Panels

While aluminum honeycomb panels are corrosion-resistant, they should be used with caution in salt-water environments. Aluminum honeycomb panels can corrode in saltwater environments. These panels should be used with caution near carbon skins. Carbon skins can cause galvanic corrosion in aluminum honeycomb panels, exacerbated by conductivity. Aluminum honeycomb panels, too, lack mechanical memory.' When a cored laminate collides with an aluminum honeycomb, the panels deform irreversibly.
